What started out as a site to post my pictures (before the days of Flickr and Facebook), I never expected the site to turn into such a massive database of memorabilia and stepping stone to reuniting many old camp friends. It has been such a rewarding experience to spend the last 10 years giving the alumni a chance to relive their childhood and having the opportunity to learn more about the history of Tyler Hill Camp. We all know by now that camp is more than just a treetop or a bugle; it's the people you consider your extended family for 2 months out of the year that make your summers memorable. When you pass through those gates on opening day, the whole world can stop for all you care. All that matters is that you're at camp ready to have the best summer of your life. Funny how every summer seems to top the last summer.
I look forward to keeping the site updated with additional pieces of nostalgia and invite everyone to visit camp each summer for Alumni Day, with the annual Hall of Fame ceremony. This is a day set aside to honor many legendary Tyler Hill alumnus, but also gives everyone a chance to spend more time at the place they wish they could never leave. Overheard this summer, "It's been 30 years since I've been back, but not much has changed. Sure, things look different, but it still feels the same." I concur.
