Pauline Heft

Wife of Bill Heft

   

Pauline worked with Bill for many years during their tenure at Camp Rosemont. While she did not play an active role in the day to day running of Tyler Hill Camp, Pauline was at Bill's side for nearly every event at camp. Whether it was just another meal in the Dining Room, or one of the shows or other events in the Social Hall, or a special moment at lineup, she was always near Bill.

She also made her presence known as a great athlete. She was often seen towing her own clubs over to the golf course, or diving off the springboard, followed by several laps in Silver Lake, or spending time on the tennis court. Many of the faithful knew her as a friendly and vivacious personality at camp.

Together with Joe's wife Eleanor, they gratefully shared the role of "First Ladies" of the camp for the first 17 seasons...a role which Pauline continued until the Heft family sold the camp at the end of the 1991 season.
